Employment Opportunities in the Diocese OF CALGARY
For the past 6 months, the Catholic Pastoral Centre has been engaged in planning and re-organizing to better serve the Diocese of Calgary. We are excited to invite applications for the following positions:
- Director of Pastoral Ministries. The Director of Pastoral Ministries will develop, support, and coordinate pastoral ministry programs and initiatives that promote Faith formation in all stages and states of life.
- Director of Social Justice and Outreach Ministries. The Director of Social Justice and Outreach is responsible for oversight, coordination, and implementation of the social mission of the Church. In addition, the Diocesan Director is responsible for promoting increased engagement of Catholics in these various ministries and work with agency directors to create opportunities for collaboration and service.
- Director of Communications. The Director of Communication will work on day-to-day communications and media relations activities for the Catholic Pastoral Centre.
- Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager will support the goals of the Diocese by developing and maintaining processes and services which promote employees to work effectively in a healthy workplace throughout the Diocese of Calgary.

Lay Associations Spring Seminar
Join Bishop McGrattan in the Spring Seminar for the Lay Associations in the Diocese of Calgary with theme: Vocations & Youth Apostolates. There is a limit of 5 attendees per organization. Sing the Liturgy: Wedding Music Workshop – LETHBRIDGE
If you work with couples to prepare music for weddings or if you cantor or accompany for weddings, this workshop is for you! This spirited day of learning, singing, and community will introduce the musical changes in the new Order of Celebrating Matrimony as well as common issues that arise in helping couples select music for their marriage liturgy. Diocesan Pastoral Care Course
The Health Care Apostolate will be hosting the Spring Diocesan Pastoral Care Course Thursday evenings May 3 – June 14 from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. The program will be held at St. Cecilia’s Parish, 321 – 90 Ave SE. This course will introduce you to the basic visiting skills required for Pastoral Care Ministry in the health care facilities or parish. Registration fee: $50. Day of Compassion
Come celebrate a “Day of Compassion” on Saturday May 5, from 9 am to 3 pm with Fr. Glenn Zimmer, Director of Qu’Appelle House of Prayer. Join in the festivities of this one day event that includes Mass, Presentations on the topic of Compassion and great food prepared by the ladies of St. Stephen’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Calgary. The Bible and the Virgin Mary
The Bible and the Virgin Mary, unveils the mystery of Our Lady that is woven into the fabric of Sacred Scripture. Do you fully understand the vital role she plays in your life? Can you explain her role in God’s plan for the world? While Catholics know that Mary is important, many never fully grasp how essential she really is. Hike for Life
We would like to invite you to join us at the Hike for Life on Saturday, May 12 at Prince’s Island Park. This is our 38 Annual fundraiser that financially supports our Respect Life programs. The Hike for Life starts with an opening ceremony at 9:00 am from the stage area. Participants walk the 10 km hike route along the pathways of the park and surrounding areas and return to the stage area to enjoy complimentary lunch, prizes and music until noon. St. Rita’s Parish (ROCKYFORD) 100th Anniversary
